Backstreet of Montmartre
During an afternoon spent wandering the alleys of Montmartre, I came across this typical café. It was one of the few places where I could capture an interesting foreground with the white dome of the Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur in the background. Despite the crowd of tourists, a series of long exposures allowed me to create a scene without any people. The glistening cobblestones, the old signs, and the timeless atmosphere make this neighborhood my favorite in Paris.
