Cloudy peaks
A beautiful capture taken during an hike in the rugged mountains of Madeira, between Pico Ruivo and Pico Arieiro peaks. A violent storm raged on the island during my stay, almost constantly shrouding the mountain peaks in clouds. These would appear only fleetingly, during brief openings caused by powerful winds which also made accessing the cliff paths particularly challenging. The landscape offered a striking contrast: the deep green of the mountains standing out against the immaculate white of clouds, creating an illusion that these summits were floating.
