Golden foam
Having been unable to be at this location during sunrise on my first visit to Madeira, I was particularly happy to be able to witness such beautiful conditions this time. On the northern coast of the island near Porto Moniz, after an intense stormy night, the sun had indeed managed to find a space between the clouds now quickly passing across the sky, reflecting the powerful golden light on the foam accumulated around the round rocks of the beach. The wind was violently pushing waves against these enormous sea stacks emerging from the Atlantic ocean, sculpted by millennia of erosion.
