An unplanned photograph, as I spotted this tree by chance at the roadside while leaving a sunrise shoot in the Tuscan countryside. Standing alone in the middle of a particularly rolling field, this oak is rather small with a lovely harmonious shape. The light was still quite soft, filtered through the remnants of the thick blanket of fog present a few hours earlier. This tree and this scene perfectly embody the Tuscan countryside with its characteristic bucolic landscapes.
