Roots and branches
One of the images from the series I captured in the ancestral Fanal forest, located on a high plateau at 1150m overlooking the northern coast of Madeira island. The tree forming the frame has a truly unique shape, with a large branch running parallel above one of its twisted roots. Two small isolated laurel trees growing next to each other create a perfect anchor point in the middle of the image. This picture was particularly challenging to take due to water droplets constantly falling on the lens from the tree branches above, making all of my gear wet.
